1. I don't know, but world socialism and no religion sounds pretty good to me.

2. Done out in the open with the full knowledge, consent , and willful participation of the people...

...for the purpose of truly serving the people, ALL Earth's people, yes --- pushed forward behind closed doors in secret to be forced down our throats by a small malevolent band of elitist, murderous, international banking criminals, no.

3. Just watched all 16 parts of it and don't regret it at all. Although it almost lost me somewhere
between parts 4 and 8 ( that's where conspiracy theory dismissing people turn off in knee-jerk like reactions ), it is well worth to watch to the very end.

Because after parts 7-8 it states things that I suppose a majority of DUers is convinced of anyway. How the "war on terror" is really war on liberties, control of the media or who profits from wars and why they are waged ( even bush's grand daddy is mentioned ).

From one point on I kept thinking of George Carlin and he even appears with parts of his last stand-ups.

In the very least it's food to entertain thought and worth sacrificing your TV time for the day.

4. The George Carlin segment made me sad about...
...his death again -- his insightful and humorous social commentary will be badly missed.

5. in part 11 they talk about congress passing a law that will require....
...to carry around a national ID with a scanable bar code. they said it will happen by may 2008. now, i haven't been back to the states for about a year but i think i would have heard about that national ID thing happening and i haven't heard anything about it.

anybody know about any of this?

6. I think the a number of states have been less than cooperative...
...with the plans for implementing this program, but the plans do exist and I doubt that they've been scrapped.

7. When I went to see

Brazil in 1984 I left the theater plenty steamed. But somewhere in all that surrealism was a strong element of truth. I knew it then and I know it now. Brazil became one of my all time favorite movies and because the world has caught up to it's bizarre take on reality it almost looks normal. It doesn't seem unusual now for people to sit in cubes glued to a screen with entirely blank looks on their faces, with two distinct classes of people, an underclass of slaves and a ruling class of elites. Reality bites.
