7. Not that he didn't feel like it - he knew he'd be swiftboated - goebbeled

He knew the election was stolen, that there was no "smoking gun," and that the MSM, cowed by Fox and incesting with Cheney, would marginalize him more than they did Gore. He would have become a prop for ridicule, instead of the more effective advocate he's become.
