1. First off, that woman is hot. Second - I am starting to think almost all the detainees are innocent.
I think the CIA just rounded up a bunch of men and said they were Al-Queda and that's all.

3. There's little dispute at Gitmo. The war criminals are outside the bars...

2. Pelosi Is Putting "Prisoners Of Deprivation" Off The Table
Making them "Prisoners of Her Depravation."

Impeachment for torture could have them home for the Holidays.

We CAN still force it in spite of Madame Squeaker. Just keep talking impeachment to anyone you can.

And if you are still making any excuse or wasting effort on anything else -- including (genuflect) The Sacred National Election Horserace -- then you (yes, you personally) are part of the problem, not the solution.

4. Me? I rather think "part of the problem" has been the histrionics surrounding...
the impeach now campaign. Bill Moyer/Jonathan Turley are never seen running up & down the street with their hair on fire. The extent to which the movement has gathered steam has not been via histrionic tools and forms of guerrilla theater; but by cooler heads holding cold, blue legal briefs. Guerrilla theater, while based in tradition, had only been utilized not by Peolsi where guerrilla theater itself is a cause for cause celeb...but by the Cheney/Bush Admin, where they behaved as though they seen it coming all along *and* in advance declaring it "hysteria" they dismissed all of it out of hand. What a waste of time; years.

Nothing like telegraphing your intentions to a group that had no intention of playing along in either event. It's easy to put a tag Pelosi she's just standing there. The ones need be tagged, having little respect for "talking" or for that matter legal briefs; are already rolling down a war torn road half way round the world.

And if that is not understood, that is not merely "part of the problem"; that is in great measure the problem itself.

This Bush guy's inaugural limo should have been made to labor beneath more than just rotten eggs the first time around. It should have been rocked, rolled & tipped over...if ever so gently, if we are so peaceful here. To say nothing year after year while the world is disassembled in the waiting for Godot is not claim action but acquiescence imo. Pelosi is current news, acquiescence to dictatorship is quite nearly antique. And no one cares to look in the mirror to see themselves shaking hands with despot.

It therefore must feel better; it must make you (yes, you personally) feel better, to sit on the beach of a breezy blue day with puffy white clouds floating past the sun on your shoulders, while private aircraft looking down upon your handiwork, like God, snap jpegs for your website.

5. You? I dunno. Nor do I know if a video suicide note would qualify as "histrionics"...
...by your definition. But I'd sure like to sit Madame Squeaker down and force her to watch it. Then ask that she explain her oppostion to impeaching the torture regime to that man's family.

And it's my best guess that the impeachment movement has gathered steam more on the basis of its obvious necessity -- rather than either legal briefs or beach walking exclusively. And I would imagine -- since I engage in neither myself -- that both bring with it the personal satisfaction of doing what one is able to bring about justice.

What I can't imagine is by what mechanism one would would think that bushcheney could be "tagged" -- or even stopped from chuckling -- other than impeachment itself. Since, as you say, we can clearly include "blue legal briefs" -- and court rulings, and passed legislation, and decades-old treaty obligations -- among those things they "dismissed...out of hand."

Which leaves us with only Pelosi -- who's hardly "just standing there." It was she who wasted years claiming to be "ratcheting up the pressure." And she who now falsely and bizarrely maintains that impeachment requires "cooperation from the Administration" (?!?) And FWIW, it is also she who "put a tag" on herself, when she accepted her powerful place in the US Gov't.

But it's still not "easy" to come to the conclusion that Pelosi is the last bushcheney firewall against accountability. No one enjoys wondering if someone in their own party sat in a classified briefing and willingly joined the torture team. Or that she's craven enough to abide it all for a bit of electoral/political advantage (which is arguably worse).

That's just the reality of it. And being angrier at bushcheney than at Pelosi doesn't change it.

Impeachment remains our ONLY moral, patriotic option. Pelosi remains the largest obstacle -- along with Obama -- in the path of achieving it.

I think posting this video was helpful. Sorry you don't feel better about it.

7. A kick for the unpardonable reality of our national crisis
From http://talkingimpeachment.com/toolbox/cure-impeachophobia">Curing Impeachophobia:

. . .
By refusing to stand up for We The People -- the true owners of this nation -- Members of Congress have created a national crisis graver than any natural disaster or social ill. It is bigger than any international crisis. By tolerating the intolerable, they are surrendering our capacity to recover from disaster with humanity; to solve our common problems in ways that reflect our common values; and to serve as a force for good in the world.

When the good will of the American people is cut out of the loop no one seeking justice — not our fellow Americans nor people of other nations — can look to us for help.

Surrendering your property to squatters without a fight is insanity, but that insanity doesn't compare to the magnitude of the insanity of surrendering a nation without a fight. But that is precisely what Members of Congress are doing when they say that the immediate impeachment of Bush and Cheney can't, won't, or shouldn't happen.
