3. I wouldn't say that
Women have made tremendous progress since this aired. Now there are 8 female Governors, and 16 female Senators. And since Presidents tend to be ex-Governors or ex-Senators, there needs to be that base of women holding those offices before there can be a woman President. Even now there are roughly 5 times as many men in those positions as women, so it's still an uphill battle. But as more time passes there will be more women elected, and we'll eventually have our first woman major Party candidate. If Obama wins the Presidency, the next competitive Democratic Primary will be 2016, and I'm guessing there will be a few women who have their hats legitimately in the ring.

4. Well . . then came the "October Surprise" and fascism . . .
But, I think it's interesting, in itself, that males never ask . . .

"where are the women?" . . .

It is in their interests, as well, to have gender balance in government --

and at every table.

At almost any time of the day, if you go around the TV dial, you'll almost always

see a group of males together discussing something. This is still a society

designed for males -- and strictly for their benefit.

6. That is demonstrably false

In 1955 52% of all people said they'd vote for a woman.

In 1975 73% of all people said they'd vote for a woman.

In 1987 82% of all people said they'd vote for a woman.

In 2007 92% of all people said they'd vote for a woman.

In other words, support for the idea of a female president has been steadily increasing for years, regardless of who occupied the White House. Don't buy into the lies...

7. It doesn't matter how many say they would but how many there are running.
And why are we arguing about this in the first place? Aren't there better things to get all riled up about? Like maybe Bush inciting trouble with Russia to get McCain elected?
