2. Okay -- wait a minute.
So if the North VietNamese wanted to negotiate with the US and use McCain as their bargaining chip, and McCain said no, they just go "okay"? Does a prisoner have the option of agreeing to a release, if the NV government wanted to use him? It was up to him?

What am I not getting here?

Except, and Cenk says, maybe it was Kissinger who said 'no', not McCain. Maybe they never even broached the subject with McCain.

He has sung this song for so many years, I have no doubt he believes it in his mind. The question is, did it actually ever happen in real life?

5. Cenk's got guts. k*r
But it has occurred to me that a huge portion of the voting population has not received the McCain legend repeated again and again. They can't relate and they're open minded on the issue.

It's campaign 2008 and the mainstream folks are afraid of the issues. Lets hear McCain again and again on "there will be more wars." Damn right, if you get elected, there will be many many more.

6. Everything's starting to fall into place on McCain's POW story.
Crash McCain has blocked attempts to open up documents on his POW term. If too much light falls on what really happened, the foundation of McCain's campaign collapses.

McCain and his stooges play the POW card on everything. It gives him a pass on cheating on his wives. It excuses him for all of his gaffes during campaign speeches. Questioning his POW term is a third rail to his opponents.

If it ever gets confirmed that Crash became a POW under less than noble circumstances; if it turns out that Crash didn't turn down the offer to be released and it was Henry Kissinger's call, then
Crash has nothing to campaign on. He certainly doesn't have it on the issues or his delivery.

7. That was the only honorable thing McCain did while as a POW.
Everyone knows that McCain was an awful pilot and probably crashed his own plane. But most people are not pilots and shrug their shoulders at his ineptitude.

Everyone knows he did propaganda films (about 32) and gave up military information after 5 days of torture.

There were hundreds of POWs who were tortured. Not many of them did propaganda films for the Vietnamese like McCain did. Not many people have the right to object to McCain's traitorous behavior following torture. It seems to me only other POWs who were tortured have the right to complain about this aspect of McCain's POW behavior.

So most people give McCain a pass on crashing his plane and giving up military information under torture. They can't relate and look for something they can understand. Refusing to be let out early is something that connects with everybody. If McCain had no choice in the matter (which is what I suspect) then McCain waving his POW flag is really not much of anything.

8. K&R Release his war records!
Let the whole truth come out into the light.

Great new ad for McWar: set it up like the got milk commercials and have McWar with blood on his hands and the phrase "Got War!" in bold letters. Maybe people will think twice before they vote for this crazy bastard.

Let's get the REAL TRUTH out there. The means and capable people are available. We know the proven or dis proven facts are buried somewhere. I am so tired of this being the ONLY BASE for McCain's run for president. We clarify this one and only major 'glitch' we can sink him .... he has nothing left to run on!

10. McCain Can Be Blackmailed by Vietnam, Russia, and the Pentagon.
Senator McCain has successfully passed legislation to lock up the U.S. records on our prisoners of war and MIA's from the Vietnam War, thus seeming to preclude public access to the 32 propaganda tapes he made for the Vietnamese while a prisoner. Undoubtedly, Vietnam still has copies of those tapes. Since the Soviet Union was also participating in the interrogation of U.S.l prisoners of war, it is highly likely that Russia now has possession of the USSR's files on U.S. prisoners of war in Vietnam. Reports from anti-McCain POW organizations suggest that McCain was also filmed receiving special treatment, including sexual accommodations provided to the always randy airman.

Such films, likely in the hands of two foreign governments, makes McCain a prime target for blackmail by those governments. Perhaps, given McCain's energetic efforts to open up trade with Vietnam, these tapes have already served that purpose. High officials in the Pentagon may also have access to these tapes, which could be used against McCain.

Whether or not McCain was truly tortured to force him to make these tapes, as long as they are kept secret they represent a potential blackmail tool, and thus a threat to the national security of the nation. Do we want a president who can so easily be blackmailed?

The only way to protect against blackmail is for all McCain's military records, and those of other POW's, to be disclosed and fully investigated by the public press.

Whether or not McCain is "at fault" for these films is besides the point, their mere hidden existence represents a serious danger to our national security if he becomes president of the United States.

I have NEVER seen or heard anything of them. Are they dead? Have they gone into hiding? Nobody has EVER mentioned them, interviewed them, or photographed them at ALL.

Very, very odd.

21. his son Andrew McCain is working for Cindy...
I just read today that one of his sons from his first marriage, Andrew McCain, is working for Cindy's beer business as CFO. I am not sure if that is true but it was in a story about Cindy's half sister and her anger at being written out of the family biography. Cindy claims to be an only child all the time, except she has at least two half siblings...

12. Purple Heart Band Aids
Personally, I don't like all this blah blah blah about people's military records from 30 some years ago. But, hey, John McCain deserves the same scrutiny as the GOP gave John Kerry and Max Cleland. Only we can tell the truth. The GOP made their beds and now they can lie in them.

None of this can come from the Obama camp. Obama can't do anything to diminish Mc's war "hero" status. It must come from the internets, from fellow POW's.

16. Mc Smeagol wants the power, so much, any story that makes him
look better he will use.

Has he shown himself to be honest or dishonest? Just look at what he has done.

Veterans support? 0 Environmental Support? 0 Educational support? 0 Big Business support? 98%

War promotion? 100% Middle income support? 0 Workers rights? 0

Despite his contentions the only honest support he has given is to big business and war.

If you can not believe him now, how can you assume that his words held anymore credibility in his past?

18. POW talks about McCain's refusal to leave
http://www.military.com/opinion/0,15202,164859_1,00.html

this link is to a story found on Huffington Post written by a
fellow POW of John McCain who explains this topic fairly well.
He says ALL the POW's were offered the chance to leave by the
North Vietnamese but refused the offer due to the fact they
would have to give public statements that were forbidden of
them by the US Military in order to leave. The Post is very
good, He explains why he will not be voting for McCain - that
he is a hot head, reckless and his advanced age, etc...

19. this story can also be found on Military.com, opinion tab - Phillip Butler
If the previous link is not good, go to Huffington Post or Military.com. look for opinion page. Titled: Why I will not vote for John McCain, by Phillip Butler. He was a POW for several years prior to John McCain's arrival in the camp and was tortured for much longer than McCain. He claims McCain is exaggerating his stay and treatment in the camps for political reasons. He also went to the Naval Academy with McCain, so has insight from that time as well.

coulda been that if the admiral wanted mccain back, mccain would have been OBLIGATED to follow orders and return...
and he thanked kissenger for not putting him in that position.......... at a minimum without other proof.... im okay with that

i just thought that the most difficult decision would have been to kick out his gimpy old wife with the aches and pains from her accident after having an affair fucking the beer babe

presents likely possibility for blackmail.

vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com There is a report of the POW who mcCain has hustled around with him apparently a long time to bare witness testify to all he says. Problem he could only testify to short period. Bud Day 's own story is wildly fantasized . One crazy
recollection..one crazy r e a d.
