These guys are stooping to new lows in politics, but I expected that.

They have no solutions, no vision, no answers. These egg-sucking bastards are not fit to exploit even one second of that tragic day for their selfish political gain. How could anyone with half a brain vote republican?

To this day, I cannot watch anything about that day...for these people to use that tragedy in this way...and to show that video in this setting is beyond disrespectful. There are no words.

If I had been watching that on TV, I certainly would have turned it off the minute that started.

I don't think this is a reaction limited only to those of us who live in NY and were there to see what happened...and who lost friends and/or family on that day.

This was an absolute travesty of everything that has been done to honor those that were lost that day. To politicize that event is beyond sickening.

I hope that there were millions who felt the same way, and who turn away from the repukes because of it.

It's cut-and-dried crap like this which you can easily point to to show how disgusting the Republicans are. Talking about not finding WMDs or the situation on the ground in Iraq is always open to some level of questioning (at least, in "low information" voters' minds), but here can you point to absolute proof of how evil the GOP is.

They want to make people cry; they want them to relive that day; they loved that day; if 9/11 could happen everyday, they'd be the happiest people on Earth.

They thrive on pain and fear. Nothing else. No amount of "Aw, shucks, I'm such a normal, average, moose huntin' bumpkin" can erase the fact that these are very evil and malicious people.

And kill us they did...this time on American soil.

Who failed to act? Do the republicans think that no one can remember the past eight years? I do. I remember where I was that day. I remember the fact that someone I knew in college was on one of the planes. I had to worry about friends that worked in the city...watching closely, calling, looking for any information and praying that they were safe.

Do they think they can rewrite history? If al que-da is the root of all evil and specifically bin Laden, they why did our president say "I really don't think much about him". Why has he not been captured or killed? WTF is wrong with this world.

By tying 9/11 to IRAQ and not go after BIN LADEN is what makes this sickening as well. To see they are still trying to gain those who are IGNORANT to vote for MCCAIN, who said he will stay in IRAQ for 100 years if he feels it necessary, yet as OBAMA put it so well.......MCBRAINLESS "WONT EVEN FOLLOW HIM TO THE CAVE HE LIVES IN"

They need to go back much further than 1979 to find the first attack; 26 minimum...

Of course they exploited the Hostage Crisis for electorial gains as well.

The Iranian hostage crisis? Umm, that was in response to the American backed coup by the Shah, dipshits. This is the type of thing that has been the impetus for everything that has strengthened Islamist militancy over the past few decades.

Come on, if you're going to talk about Islamist militancy and extremism, talk about the real fucking source. Talk about what makes it seem worthwhile to those who are drawn into it. American support for Israeli oppression of Palestine, the presence in Somalia, support for Russian atrocities against Chechnya, support for Indian oppression in Kashmir, and support for Israeli aggressions against Lebanon. The United States isn't some innocent victim by a mile.

Now, don't think this means I agree with terrorism. Of course I don't and anyone who thinks otherwise needs to pull their head out of their ass. My point here is simply that it's the type of American foreign policy and allegiances that McCain would continue and that he thinks are great, that causes this type of shit to begin with.

Attacking civilization and freedom? Come on, who the fuck still buys that shit? Quoth David Cross: "Are we a nation of six year olds?!" A war America never chose to fight? That's like a bully saying "I didn't want to beat him up but he kicked me while I had his head in the toilet." Looked the other way?
