8. That should be one of the story lines pushed. McCain was the presumptive nominee for 6+ months ...
... and couldn't get a VP candidate selected and ready for even press interviews in that period of time.

5. What does he mean, "the voters don't care if she never meets the press"?
I care. A lot. So does everyone I know. I can only assume that the voters he feels "don't care" are the low-information (i.e. ignorant and stupid) Republican base, who don't care about anything involving truth, honesty, or openness.

The ignorant, stupid people in the country tend to be Republicans and they will already be mindlessly voting for Boxboy and his Bitch. We thinking people must demand that she be interrogated like every other candidate. (The other three are all on the Sunday talk shows today, while the Princess hides under her bed in Alaska.)

Palin is an unqualified, lying traitor with insane religious views, and it's crucial that everyone know this before November! McCain has made an immature, irresponsible choice, similar to those he would make as president. He's still the childish flyboy he always was.

7. I like how they're trying to spin it as if she's not answering questions because
she's being briefed first on McCain's policies.Total bullshit. She's being taught how to respond to questions regarding issues she has absolutely no knowledge of.

She's in hiding memorizing the names of world leaders and countries. She's being taught who America's allies are, what treaties we've signed, what wars are happening around the world, who we trade with, what military threats concern us, who's on our terrorist list, which countries are democracies, which countries/regions are impoverished, and numerous other facts and issues world leaders deal with.

She's learning how to pretend she's at least arguably competent. That way the Republicans can trot her out and their stubborn idiot base can say, "See! She's smart!"

And the media will spin a new narrative that Democrats underestimated her, and that was a huge mistake. The maverick, John McCain knew how smart she was. What a shrewd choice for VP she was. This proves McCain is sharp and on top of his game.

9. 1) Lower expectations. I repeat No. 1: Lower expectations
Edited on Sun Sep-07-08 11:55 AM by JDPriestly
2) Teach her what to say (and how to deal with the box on the back thingy) in debates.
3) Vet her -- finally.

Wow! She is not ready, but the surrogates are going to be out there in force and the press is going to be competing for that first interview. This is a snow job folks.

If she is not ready even to campaign at this point, how can she possibly be ready to replace John McCain as president if necessary beginning in January?

This shows terrible, terrible judgment on John McCain's part.

He had only 9 weeks between the convention and the election and he is planning to have his staff spend at least two-three of those weeks just prepping his vice presidential candidate so that she can fool the public into thinking she knows what she is doing.

11. She is playing the sexist card.
Just wait. When she can't answer a question or makes a fool of herself, she will complain that the press is being really rough on her because she is a woman. This is the beginning of it. This is called flirting. It's called being coy.

And by the way, I'm a woman with some southern education. I know what I am talking about. This woman is the Alaskan Scarlett O'Hara.

12. Agree completely. A man would never get away with this.....
sort of behavior.

On another thread Palin's handlers say she won't face the press until they treat her with respect and deference. They want the press to defer to her? Unbelievable!!

13. The Sarah Pain saga is too unbelievable -- even for the 8-year Twilight Zone we're in.
There are more experienced, well-known GOP women who could be more vicious than Palin on the campaign trail; they wouldn't have been required to hole up for two weeks to learn what McSame's policies schemes are -- why was she selected?

It's apparent to me that the GOP doesn't care how weak they appear -- anyone else smell another stolen election?
