Here's a one-minute ad on the Keating Five Scandal, starring John McCain. Video from various CSPAN sources; editing and all content produced my me.

People need to know about this in the wake of the economic crisis we are in and how McCain is the LAST person who has any credibility in solving this crisis.

Script:

John McCain is very familiar with corporate corruption and investigations into paybacks with slimy politicians.

That's because he started his career as Senator as a slimy politician. Who got caught.

John McCain was one of the Keating Five where wealthy conman Charles Keating took him for a sucker.

All McCain had to do was lobby to change the rules for Lincoln Savings and Loan.

Taxpayers had to pay millions of dollars because John McCain took the bait.

Charles Keating flew John and second wife, the millionairess Cindy McCain, around in private jets, to beaches in the palatial palace in the Bahamas. Cindy McCain's father, Jim Hensley, was in on the action too.

With fat cat fund raisers and many thousands of dollars from Keating in his pocket, John McCain was a very happy man.

All John McCain had to do was lie like a criminal sociopath with a sincere, straight face.

Can we trust John McCain?

...be president, but how will this ad change the McCain base to vote against McCain or not vote this November?

...would be seen as from someone who IS part of the problem and has a history of BEING THE PROBLEM.

Whoever doesn't know about his involvement with the Keating Five should know. A one-minute ad can only do so much, so it has to cover McCain for what he really is... a corrupt politician who DID get caught.

The more people know about McCain and envision the Keating Five, the better.

...and even after

If you're going to be throwing aroudn words like sociopath I think I'd be a helluva lot more comfortable with this if you'd take off that frame of Obama and Biden at the end. This is your project, not theirs so don't even give anyone the opportunity to connect it to them. If you're making your own statement that's fine, but don't attach it to them.

They are calling him a LIAR, ferchrissakes....which he is.

but you're doing obama a dis-service by putting an obama/biden picture in the end. People will think it's affiliated with the obama campaign.

I suspect you've still got the project file fresh in your mind and could probably make some changes pretty easily..? No? Premiere, AfterEffects, whatever you're using...but I'd like to suggest one thing and one thing only:

I think it would be more effective if you told the story, in brief, of the Lincoln Savings And Loan first. Let the viewer be horrified by the the whole episode and then WHAM! show them how McCain was KNEE DEEP in it.

Two reasons I recommend this:

1. pacing would be better IMHO

2. You'll lose more of the people you want to convince if they see you accusing McCain in front. IMHO.

That's it! I'll go away now. The only reason I wanted to make my suggestions is that I think this video could be HUGE. As it is now I'll bet you lose some undecided people before you get to the good stuff.

I agree, zulu!! My mom and I are very scared that the SOB may get into office. People have to wake up and vote a democrat back into office or we'll be in very sad shape!!!
