4. My mother is on SSI
And I couldn't even imagine if they had risked their SSI in the stock market.

23. This is the nukylar bomb
And the bastards deserve it. It may have taken 8 years to catch up with them, but now they pay the price for that attempted heist of Social Security.

It isn't just Floridians who care about the program.

5. Can you imagine what would have happened
if Bush had been successful in his quest to privatize Social Security? Especially considering what's happened to the market just this week.

8. Yup...Bush/McSame
wanted to turn over the Social Security money to Bear Stearns, AIG, and Lehman Bro...to the very people who have shown how they’re mismanaging money.

6. Perfect. So many people don't realize that 'privatizing' SSI means
putting it into the stock market.

22. I figured McCain lost the election
the day he called Social Security "disgraceful," but there wasn't much comment about it in the media. We should bring back that clip, too.

14. WOW - great point, good timing and 100% K&R
I'm surprised that he is not running out in front of the Straight Talk Express - it's got none of it's wheels so he would be safe from being run over by it! (g)

16. What this ad is missing is "Howard and Louise" telling the story
and thanking God and Democratss for not allowing Bush and McCain to privatize Social Security back in 2004 when Bush went on his Privatize Social Security tour of America. McCain was lockstep with Bush on that. It's the emotional lure that gets undecided voters attention and what Democratic ads keep missing.

Thom Hartmann says the same thing. What Democratic politicians need to do is learn how to "tell a story" or in technical terms "develop a narrative" about the issue. The Republicans successfully used "Howard and Louise" to sink Hillary's Healthcare campaign. Why can't Democrats do somethin similar?

17. It's "Harry and Louise," and I don't think they're missing,
they weren't invited to the audition. I'm pretty sure if Obama wanted to do such an ad, he wouldn't have hesitated.

In any case, I don't think this ad is missing anything.
