Also check out these videos you may have missed (as well as my polite rant at the end):

And if you haven't already, check out the great new Progressive talk show from BraveNewFilms (hosted by Cenk), Meet The Bloggers. You can even watch past episodes Free On Demand with awesome guests like Rachel Maddow and Michael Moore.

2. This is not the way it is being presented to the American Citizens
Can't the democrats read the news paper or listen to the news
media. The REPUBLICANS are saying that they are the ones
inserting this into the deal..

Are democrats really this naive or stupid...

10. A rhetorical question?
Democrats have the arguments, they have the facts, but they are too scared to wield the sword. It makes me sick to my stomach that we don't have more Wexlers and Kuciniches in our party and that they are sometimes marginalized by our own people.

I have written a plea for more hardness of the heart:

We must win this time.

How about down-sizing Wall Street? What if there were stock-markets in each state, doing business only with people/companies residing in the respective state?

6. He's right.
This is going to go down really bad if the dems vote for it but the repubs don't. The other night on CNN they already had the meme out (in subtitles under videos, no less!) "Bush & Dem Leadership vs. House Republicans." The American people are not going to take the time to listen to this video or investigate this issue themselves & the media is not going to report it, so yes, it's going to look like the dems gave taxpayer money to the corporations.

I am more worried than ever that the dems are being set up.

7. Cenk is right. Dems should just walk away
Let Bush deal with his own party. Until he can get them on board, no point in discussing anything.

9. "Where's your evidence for this?" Cenk is the man!

I'm totally imipressed with Cenk. He's asking the questions all aware citizens are asking -
'Is this for real?'

When asked that question, Miller tried to dis him and say Cenk was not elected to make public policy.

Hey Miller and the rest of you members of Congress - you were elected to represent the will of the
people, not your own 'inside baseball' bull shit.

I'm sick and tired of listening to people who failed to regulate and protest when they couldn't talk
down to me and give away my money. Screw that.

Right before Paulson and his pal from the Fed testified Thursday, C-Span had on the historian of the
fed, an economist from Carnagie - Mellon University. The guy is ancient and he said that there was
no reason to expect a crash (although I wouldn't put it past some insiders to create one). He said
there were no signs of a crash. That's what Cenk said quoting the NYT columnist.

Cenk stands tall and tells the truth while others curry favor with the in crowd.

He's my guy on the media as of right now and will stay that way for a long time to come.

12. Cenk is right...
...and George Miller, while well-intentioned, is somewhat tone deaf on this.

While the Democrats in the House are patting themselves on the back saying "we rejected Paulson's unreasonable demands and have negotiated new terms", what he doesn't realize is that they never should have negotiated anything with these crooks. What they should have done with Paulson is laughed him out of the room and said come back when you have an offer that sufficiently acknowledges the wrongdoing, that protects American homeowners, and that puts the sleazy crooked traders out on the fucking street with no possessions and not a cent to their names. I'd give them the option: 20 years in prison, or out on your butt, all your possessions taken from you to defray our costs, all of your accounts frozen, and your credit ruined for the next 7 years. Take it or leave it.

Yes, I know it doesn't work that way. But that is about the only thing that would feel like justice to me. Let these sleazebags get a taste of making it on the outside, without all their perks and insider trading and self-serving mumbo-jumbo. Bet they'd get themselves a different perspective real quick.

But back to the politics of it. The Democrats as usual come off as weak sisters. It pisses me off. They have no idea at all how they are being played. Or if they do, they just don't have the guts to get steely eyed and say not only NO, but HELL NO. Or, maybe they're just complicit in the whole debacle, and are so afraid of being found out that they just feel like they have to go along. If that's the case then of course they deserve to get played. I sincerely hope that is not the case.

15. Rep. George Miller, who helped bring us No Child Left Behind
which (by design) is killing the public schools.

Given that, Miller has a track record of giving in to the Rethugs. His judgment is lacking.

IMO, whenever George Bush and George Miller are working closely together on anything, it's not a good deal for this country.

Good for you, Cenk, and WAKE UP DEMS!!
