Although I can't stand hearing her screech.

5. Watching it now also.
This is another example of Democrats bringing a knife to a gunfight. Why didn't Biden go after Palin when she accused him of saying taxes are patriotic. What he had said is that it is unpatriotic to let US corporations evade taxes by being based overseas (or something to that effect). It would have been so easy to argue that but he never picked up on it really.

This is the whole problem with the Democratic campaign in a nutshell. Obama can't go negative because then he looks "angry." This is how we lose every four years. We always have an excuse for not going negative. Every four years we have a NEW excuse for not going negative.

12. We do NOT lose every 4 years. We won the last 4 general elections.
Election fraud is what got us. But I do agree the gloves have to come off. We need to put them on the defensive and keep them there.

2. Barack in going to Europe to promote friendship is reinstaing America as a force for good>
Edited on Sun Oct-05-08 08:54 PM by barack the house
They drive me crazy how they can spin something postive to a negative. It's better to have friends than the abundance of enemies Republicans have accumulated. A force for good is doing good and can't even recall the last good thing the GOP did good for their country it's an insane joke. 200,000 people ready to believe in America again that is good for tourism in itself and teh economy.

10. Part of the problem is that Palin's charm really does turn on some men.
Especially dumb, uneducated men. Men like a flirty girl. What they DON'T like is a COCK TEASER. Since the Obama campaign doesn't have the wits or guts to slip in that point, that Palin is a cock teaser, too many men will continue to be suckered by Palin.

6. Problem is Obama won't go after McCain.
He's too busy being the nice guy. So he can't bring up McCain's insane berserker rage, videos ALL OVER THE PLACE of McCain blowing his cool, blowing his stack, storming out of a Senate hearing on POWS after tearing a wife of a POW to shreds for nothing and all the other things about him Obama could use. And while Palin is being used as an attack dog the Obama campaign has Biden almost in hiding lest he make another gaffe and nobody is going after McCain's closet skeletons because we have to be above the battle etc.

And all the Obama ads are milk dudds. Where is the "Would you buy a used car from this man?" (JFK ad) type attack ads? Where are the ads showing a mushroom cloud (LBJ ad) if McCain-the-nut gets in with his fuming rage?

The answer is that neither Obama nor Democrats generally have that kind of guts anymore. Pathetic.

8. Feinstein wasn't an adequate surrogate.
She hardly hit back. She was busy murmuring and FRETTING over McCain's attacks. Sob. Johnny hit me! That's not a counterattack.

9. Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm made some good points, but
Why do Democratic surrogates have to be so polite and CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALM and passionless? No anger ever. They are all too busy trying to look good in the mirror than to get to the main event --- going after the other side with passion. None of these surrogates put making McCain look bad ahead of making THEMSELVES look good. Every Democratic surrogate can't figure out whether to sh*t or get off the pot. No vehemence, no power, no passion.

4. That's not something we expect in our Presidents
Yeah, taking responsibility for our murderous acts throughout the world for the last hundred years and for the countries we have destroyed by inserting ruthless dictators to carry out our wishes so that we here in America can live the life of ease while others around the world perish to support it. Yes, unfortunately she is correct. We have come to expect presidents who will lie to us and tell us that we are the most moral people in the world and can do no wrong and help the citizenry stick there heads further into the sand. That is what America has come to expect. To tell the truth about us is unthinkable.

7. The so-called counter-attack Obama ad is no counter-attack at all.
It's a dud. It's "Ooh! Teacher, Johnny stole my tricycle!" It's a cry baby ad. COMPLAINING that McCain is smearing Obama instead of going after him on everything in HIS closet. Democrats literally don't know how to go on the attack anymore. Obama especially, because he's afraid to look "angry" blah blah.

11. Brooks says the economy will dominate the rest of the campaign.
I'm not so sure. I think the bailout will cause the Wall Street crisis to gradually drift into the background and off the headlines. All the GOP needs is some manufactured international crisis and it won't be about the economy anymore. Then McCain could move forward in the polls. And the failure of Obama to adequately attack back when there are so many skeletons in McCain's closet is a big problem. But he won't do it because then he would appear "angry." Well, blah blah.
