1. Highly doubtful, but it's encouraging to see that it's conceivably in-play
even in an wild, unlikely scenario.

2. Yes we can!
Don't underestimate us. It's not a wild scenario at all. It can happen, and I think the signs are that it WILL happen.

7. Black voter turnout is going to be astronomical nationwide
African American voters are disproportionately Democrats, but have not always gotten to the polls on electon day. That won't happen this November.

This is their first chance ever to vote for a black man for president. I think it will be a landslide of epic proportions and that there will be voter suppression efforts and vote rigging on the repug side, but it will be overwhelmed by sheer numbers of motivated democrats, especially African American voters with a chance to vote for "that one."

3. I posted elsewhere on the site, I know of 3 in Danville Va
and I live in rural NC , our neighbors are a Republican couple, and have extensive family.
He said they are voting for Obama, Mcsame (his words) cannot be trusted, the short temper does not help either. They are now understanding that the Republican leadership is out of touch
and only represent the rich folks.
3 ladies in Danville VA told me they were Republicans too, but like my neighbor McCain is not to be trusted.

5. "I like McCain but I love my job."
Hope Easley's right on this. And props to him for emphasizing that voter suppression, especially with regard to minorities, is not a myth but a fact.

9. I like the part when he said...
that he didn't want McCain to come back to North Carolina. Neither do I!

10. McCain won't go there, but he might send Psychotic Sarah
She might play well in Jesse Helms country with the hatred and fear.

OTOH, people are so afraid of the enconomy right now that it's hard to get any traction with the current smear campaign.

11. Problem: We still use GEMS central tabulaters
Easy to pick off thousands of votes at a time with them. :(
