Paul Wellstone was so full of energy that he would run alongside his son David when he was running track.

We can help Al Franken at:

5. That is doubly sweet - because it is about two great guys - Paul & Al.
An excellent, excellent response to Coleman's attack ads - that has to make Coleman shrink by a factor of 10 in the eyes of anyone and everyone who bought into lie that the tape showed Franken being angry.

 <-- waaaaaay UP!

7. Normie calls off negative ad campaign and reaches a new level of sanctimonious hypocrisy

http://www.startribune.com/politics/state/30750444.html?elr=KArks8c7PaP3E77K_3c::D3aDhUec7PaP3E77K_0c::D3aDhUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUU

U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman said that in the light of the shocking financial crisis continuing on Wall Street he is going to pull all his negative advertising from television and radio. "At times like these," he said at a press conference announcing the decision, "politics should not add to the negativity. It should lift people up with hope."

Coleman said that he will rewrite his campaign in the closing three weeks and beginning Monday will travel from city to city to "connect with people and let them know there's hope."

Coleman and his Democratic opponnent Al Franken have been waging one of the harshest and most expensive advertising wars in the country, filled with bitter attacks against one another's character, temperament and record.

In other words, the ads aren't working and he's falling futher behind.

And, I think the way Norman used Franken in his ad rates a "Worst Persons" award.

9. Yes, I miss Wellstone so much!
It's too bad I don't see the Wellstone spirit in Franken, but I guess the man was one of the irreplaceable ones.

You can take MN out of the comedian but you cannot take the comedian out of MN!

14. Al was from MN, when MN was best.
Saw that ad during Letterman tonight, well done to say the least. I cant believe that Al Franken is portrayed to be the 'Fly-over' candidate, ive always felt he carried MN with him, and i also think i feel a little Wellstone in him as well. All in for Franken.

15. this ad is a great response to Coleman's attack
It makes Coleman look like the sleazeball that he is. He would never have been elected if Wellstone had not been killed.

16. America out of context
It is sad that this kind of tactic might actually work. Shouldn't be surprised, I guess, given that there are probably thousands of people who won't vote for Obama because they think he is "Muslin."
