3. Not to "dis" your experience, but I have known a lot of cops and nearly all of them are excellent.
But, there are the few, the bigoted, and the afraid (with apologies to the Marine slogan).

4. I hear ya.
My experiences with cops has always been different. I've known several of them personally over the years, and for the most part, I've found them to be people that are lacking in compassion.

I didn't always hate cops, a lot of it started for me in Seattle in 1999.

10. I've worked in the field
and the trend in law enforcement for the past 2 or so decades is to hire more and more ex military. Some of them are very good but a sadly high proportion are in uniform to work our their aggression. I have started shifts with other officers who have stated that they were hoping someone would "start some shit so they could have an excuse."

They were and are a danger to all the good cops. We try to get rid of them and we try to contain them but the people at the top have a different idea. They seem to want less law enforcement and more "pit bulls off the leash."

It's gonna get worse unless we make it better.

14. These Actions Were NOT the Brainchild of the Cops Involved
they were simply willing tools who apparently think that the check they accept each week will be enough to buy their children RIGHTS someday.

6. If anyone wonders why I am so Anti-Fascist, it has to do with being illegally arrested, detained,
and beat up by police. It has to do with being treated like dirt. I sent many e-mails out concerning the abuses of law enforcement during the RNC. I hate Fascism. I hate tyranny. I hate the abuse of power.

This is the way most people are awakened.

For some reason just seeing it or witnessing it or hearing about it doesn't seem to be enough for people to try Doing Something About It.

At this rate of awakening... we're fucked.

15. Ya got that right
Seems I can't go anywhere these days without getting hassled. Yesterday I was forced to consent to a search of the bus in Galveston where a resident LIED to police saying they had seen me looting a house. Unfortunatly I am sitting in exactly that spot right now waiting for my cat to come back to the bus because he jumped out just before the police arrived.

Because of this I received a trespass warning and so i am forced to sit ON THE BUS and wait for my cat to show up. I have until dark.

13. every white family in the USA should have to send
at least one of their members to travel with a person of color (I know some of you hate that term but...) for a couple of days or so in some areas of this country. There is no better way to learn about police harrassment than by doing this. JMHO
