This is happening at rallies to support McCain's candidacy. How can you say these people are not McCain supporters?

Obama is in danger.

We are all in danger from those people. The Nazis didn't target one person.

He looks like Uncle Lester who you would never leave alone with his niece (or nephew).

But, still its premise is valid. McCain and Palin are making sure that the country stays as divided after the election as ever before it.

I may not have heard things that offended me about McCain at Obama rallies, but I've sure as heck heard George Bush threatened and called all manor of things worse than traitor and terrorist at Obama events.

Obama is on the verge of victory. It is up to all of us to do everything we can to reach out to the other side and reassure them while we finally try to heal this country.

In fact, I just wrote about this the other day on another topic here at DU.

One of the most "liberal" cities here in Massachusetts has been seeing a rash of Obama sign burnings.


This is something I've never heard of before. In times past, signs would be torn down or defaced.

But now they're being burned in a most disgusting and frightening display of what looks to many like racism...


I have to say that I won't be surprised....sickened, yes, but not surprised.... to see hanging effigies around Halloween....

McSame is going to have to return to a Democratically controlled Senate. How will his brothers and sisters in the Senate receive him?

My hope is that they will turn there back to him at every chance, the should shun him.

This video says more about him than the idiots uttering the hatred.

McCain has made some decisions that puzzle me and lead to my questioning his title as POW hero. For example his refusal to support the movement to find out what happened to men/women who were missing in action. Some believe, I think with cause, that we left POW's when the Vietnam War ended. His failure to acknowledge a villager who saved his life prior to capture.
His failure to support the many bills presented to provide education, medical treatment etc to our veterans. His fight to have all records from that time sealed. To me many of his actions do not fit the picture McCain has painted of himself as a hero. And you would think he was the only hero to hear him speak of that time.

I also think of his failure to support his then friend Kerry, when the swift boat adds came along.

I am just not sure that he has not always been who he is now.
I think he is who he was then. Perhaps, due to his age he no longer hides it as well.

He does not fit my picture of a war hero
