He makes a great case. Weld always struck me as a gentleman, he says some wonderful things about Obama here.

9. he's the ONLY republican i have EVER voted for
i won't even vote for republicans running unopposed for dog-catcher.

he's a typical new england republican, meaning he's actually a bit on the left by national standards. when he first ran for governor of massachusetts, he was running against democrat david silber, who was just to the right of attila the hun. tough choice. eventually i voted for weld.

i think he's a decent guy, but the problem with voting for republicans is that that then means that every damn appointment is going to be a republican, and most of them are going to be more typical party hacks.

so i'll never vote for another republican again.

10. that's definitely an issue
You might be able to handle one or two Republicans, people who are willing to work with others etc. But all of those appointments have to include some of the rank and file Republicans who hack everything up and make shoddy government a self-fulfilling prophecy.
