2. This is really good

I'd like to see more of this from TPM. This is the nightly news that should have been, a calm format that recalls the days of Cronkite, and which apparently can't survive in today's marketplace. It reminds me of Canadian news broadcasts that I've seen in the past: straightforward and unadorned.

You can make the case that the glitzier the news format, the poorer the reporting. *cough* Katy *cough*
