1. What about War dead?
No doubt the events at VT were horrendous, et al., but shouldn't we have at least as much for the men and women who die on the president's orders every day in Iraq???

You, the ones whose funerals he never attends

2. They did that a few weeks ago
Iraq War veteran Patrick Murphy led the moment of silence there

3. But it's on going - it should be everyday
besides I'm sorry about those that died in VT but not anymore sorry than I am for any other victim that dies. Why is it that in America if you die in a group it matters enough to lower the flags to half-staff but if two little kids are murdered by their own father it only stays locally?

4. My point exactly
Every day this goes on, there needs to be a memorial on the floor of both houses with silence and the names of those who have died

BTW, I meant to write "You know, the ones whose funerals... etc."

5. Your right but fat chance of that happening
they are using VT to distract from Iraq and other republican anti-american crap they do. So honoring those that die in Iraq would be just the thing they want to avoid - Maybe the House and the Senate should start?

6. I did send an e-mail to my reps to ask them to start
honoring our fallen soldiers by reading their names of those that had died since the last time they were in session. I suggested that they read all that had died up until now and then as each session starts they could read the names of those who had been killed since they had last adjourned. They could do it after their opening prayer.
