Typical fascist approach, associate words/symbols with a concept so that people don't have to think. When the concept/image and reality don't match, simply hijack the definition and be done with it, it is newspeak right in front of our own eyes!
Liberal is the neu "commie", just as "commie" was the new "jew" for our parent's generation.
Most Hitlerian youths could not say what exactly was so bad about a religion practiced by semites who were ethnically closer to the Arians than the Caucasians were. Heck most Hitlerian youths had been programmed to equate slavic people with subhumans, to the point of killing 5 million Catholic Polish that were for all intents and purposes of identical racial stock as the "superior" Germans. Again, most people could not give a rational explanation, but surely they had to exterminate 10+ million of those people.
And for 40 years, most Americans could not say much about the basic philosophical and social tenets behind socialism, but they sure knew it was baaaaad whatever it was. You know, the good ol' American oligarchs told them so.
So now Rush and his ilk, apprentices of fascism that they all are, get busy trying the same M.O. all over again... now it is us "liberals."
All of the sudden, a FOX anchor can assume that liberal is a bad word with a straight face. As in "are you a liberal?" as if we were supposed to be ashamed of wanting freedom, progress, equality, and peace.
With symbols and word associations one doesn't have to think, that is why the fascist mind is drawn to them. Every talking head has his/her flag pins, they want to play over and over the same game: repeat the same lie until it impregnates the common lazy moron's mind. And there you have insta-fascism, right in our backyard. The fascist never lost the war, they simply took a leave of absence. Here we are, a society made of busy bees, working dutifully and w/o any questions, sending our kids to the meat grinder. They have achieved a level of success they could have never dreamed, in any other society there would have been hell to pay after the 2000 elections. Not here, no sire Bob! Heck, and these are just such sloppy fascists, that I am sure it must piss off the big guys such as Hitler and Mussolini that such a dynamic duo of incompetent morons such as Bush and Cheney have been able to succeed where they failed. Heck, I am sure that even Bush I must be pissed off... he was so close! And it is his idiot son who is reaping all the successes, but these neo fascist sure are sloppy: Department of Fatherlan... oooop "Home"land security, god I feel sick that we have let them get away with it.
And now this scumbag can with a straight face, exploit a tragedy and claim something about a criminal. How does Rush know what this person political tendencies were? Did he talked to him, were they both at the same mental institution? Has our society devolved to the point where a mentally ill person, simply can't be just sick... he has to be following some sort of political agenda? Are these people so twisted and voided of any sort of human decency, that their loyalty to their political party comes before loyalty to both their country and the human race. To the point that simply stating the truth: the killer was mentally ill, would then expose yet another back fire of a GOP policy such as Reagan's dismantling of the mental health care system in the US during the 80s. Because after all prisons are much more cost effective that mental institutions, and god forbid GOP donors have to sacrifice their profits! Yet another cluster fuck from a Republican policy that comes to bite us right back in our collective asses, store it right next to Osama the GOP's darling during the 80s, please.
Because if there is one thing that these bastards know is that if they were to admit the truth just once, their house of cards would come down that Ann Coulter onto a line of pure Colombian nose candy.
It is now, us liberals who go out hurting people. Jeez, wanting peace is actually bad for your health, again... newspeak, was Orwell brilliant or what? I should completely feel safe when I meet a roving band of rednecks yielding guns and baseball bats... it is those darn hippies with their drum circles I have to watch out. I mean, it is not like political assassination was ever a tool of the right, afterall... JFK, RFK, MLK, et al were all well known conservatives, right?
Fuck the lot of them, I am tired, and sickened... I have gone through too much in this life, we worked too much and fought too hard to create this country, granted not the perfect society but as with every masterpiece it was supposed to be a work in progress... all of that to be taken over by a bunch of lazy, fat, ugly, cowards. My dad had it right: "Bad weeds never die, that is why you can just trim them... you have to take them by the root" We let Cheney and his merry men slip through 4 administrations: Nixon, Reagan, Bush I and II and look what we have to show for it: death, debt and our freedoms down the toilet. But surely enough, it must be all them "liburuls" fault.
