no one in our "free press" even MENTIONS the name "BUSH" -- all the while Bush and Cheney are on their re-write history tour.
Patrick Fitzgerald, that fraud, that incompetent partisan fool who couldn't manage to find enough evidence to bring charges against Cheney and Bush, all ostensibly because Scooter Libby lied and therefore ace prosecutor Fitzgerald couldn't find a way to get to the bottom of the conspiracy although EVERYONE knew Cheney and Bush were behind the Plame scandal, THAT Patrick Fitzgerald now has the gall to publicly release transcripts of wiretaps and publicly characterize activities that, no matter how crass, did not reach the level of criminal acts, even though for the past eight years the Bush administration has refused to make ANY comments on "ongoing investigations" of far greater import.
This entire episode, in and of itself, doesn't amount to a hill of beans. And in light of the myriad crimes of the Bush administration the entire episode is almost laughable.
I hope Obama is having his eyes opened by this because he's in for at least four more years of the same. Especially if he sticks by the foolish notion that he can work with Republicans in a bipartisan fashion. Republicans are like vampires. They'll let you think they'll work with you until you invite them in. Then they'll do what vampires always do -- suck your blood. Obama is making the classic mistake of believing Republicans have the nation's best interests at heart even though the past eight years have proven otherwise, and even though the actions of the Bush administration, Justice Department prosecutors like Fitzgerald, and ALL the Republican media talking heads still proves otherwise.
Better wake the fuck up, Barack, or you're in for four more years of the same treatment Clinton had for eight years. You can't work with Republicans because they simply can't be trusted. Republicans don't give a shit about America or Americans. They are in this for themselves to advance their own narrow, destructive agenda. Period.
