16. Paul Newman - hands down! No one outside the US knows who the fuck Tim Russert was....
Edited on Sat Jan-03-09 04:28 PM by LaPera
and only American news junkies ever even gave a shit about Russert....

Never seen Russert on the world stage as Newman had been so many times... Never seen seen Russert do anything outside his profession as Newman had as a world class race car driver...Never seen Russert walk door to door help the Dems get votes many times. Never seen Russet donate his name & time to a huge charity with his name!

Who in the fuck was Russet but some network newsman?

I haven't seen the actual list so I'm not sure who's on it.

10. You know better than to comment *before* watching the clip. :)
And no, neither of them (Cenk/Michael shure) picked Russert.

15. He co-hosted last week. He comes in here and there now that he's hosting 'At The Movies'.
Speaking of which, I was very surprised to find out that they still film ATM in Chicago.

17. I watch it occasionally

Ben Lyons is just horrible on that show. It's fun to watch cause Ben M. seems like he's going after BL's criticisms pretty hard almost like: When they fire you I still want this gig. Good article on Lyons in last Sundays LA Times....http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-ca-lyons28-2008dec28,0,3485043.story

25. Yeah, I read that.
Cenk actually wrote an article in Huffington Post defending the show that I thought was pretty good overall: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/cenk-uygur/in-defense-of-ben-lyons_b_155048.html

23. My condolences.
I lost mine as well. Still he wasn't famous or rich. Just a one in a million kind of guy. If it were who is most important to me, he would win hands down.

26. Michael DeBakey is known world wide......
In addition to pioneering M.A.S.H units and triage, he was an inventor (he worked in his dad's tailor shop) and sewed many of his catheters. He still holds hundreds of patents even today. He preformed heart surgery on world leader and local kids who were too poor to afford cab fair to the MED center. And what he did for the med center. ..... He was the first person EVER to lie in state (I believe city hall). Many, if not most top notch cardiologist in the world today got training form DeBakey or use his techniques. I vote him for important world wide. Paul Newman famous and George Carlin in US.
