1. PETA are vegetable killers, not lovers.
Their ad is warped.

4. They are using sexism to promote veganism.
Why no male underwear models? I believe that PETA is a good organization, but they could have done a less ribald commercial and maybe got some airtime. It's not fair though that this was rejected because other commercials are just as ribald.

16. An old crude saying: Meatloaf makes the meat loaf.
Sorry for the fratboy analogy, but it's true.

I like PETA's concept but really DISLIKED this ad.

1. They should've had a tall chiseled hot dude in his skivvys waiting by the hot tub.

2. I didn't mind the raciness but this is 'Murka. It'd probably trigger a fundie witchhunt.

3. Best to not portray a healthy libido by using a "solo" model.(Takes two to tango ect ect ect)

4. I don't think it was PETA's intent, this ad reeks of sexism. Again, it should've had a male model too.

That said..

There is a mountain of university study backed evidence that a diet high in veggies, nuts, whole grains has an enormously positive benefit on overall health especially libido.

Diets high in red meat, saturated fat, low in fiber, the typical American diet can and do have a negative effect on libido.

The AMA and WebMD have tons of information on this subject.

A list of superfoods. Add these to your diet in bunches. They all share the same traits-High vitamin/mineral content, very high in fiber, phytochemicals, antioxidents. These foods cleanse and repair the body.

Pomegranetes
Goji Berries
Blueberries
Strawberries
Prunes
Pumpkin seeds
Swiss Chard
Asparagus
Spinach
Beans
Cabbage
Beets
Turnips
Carrots
Kiwi fruit

Green Tea
Black Tea

Whole Grains including bread, pasta, brown rice
Oatmeal

The poison known as white flour has lead to more untimely death than any other poison in human history. America made the white flour/red meat diet world famous.

Please eat healthy DU'ers. This world needs its progressives to live long healthy lives.

Peace

18. List the studies? And Which ones say that eating meat is a negative for libido?
Edited on Thu Jan-29-09 01:20 AM by DWilliamsamh
Betcha can't link to one. A healthy diversified diet that includes lots of veggies, nuts etc AND sane amounts of meat (ie not a 24 oz porterhouse every day) has NEVER been shown to have a negative effect on health and longevity - much less libido.

I respectfully suggest they adopt a new slogan:
"EAT P***Y, NOT MEAT"

I guess NBC is losing it. If you have to be that picky about ads for booger-eating beer slobs maybe you're in the wrong game? You suck.
