Too bad you won't hear other baby boomers admit that he's right.

1. I'm a boomer. He's right.
But, the next generation will turn out the same way.

4. So some of my generation turned out to be assholes.
It just gives some DU'ers an excuse to drag out their broad brush and complain that although we did everything from eradicating polio to putting a computer in your hand, you are pissed off that we didn't leave you the utopian world you were expecting.

So the next whiny-assed motherfucker who has something to say about boomers, just save us all the aggravation and shut the fuck up.

6. Reagan wasn't a boomer
But I suppose you think that EVERYONE born between 45 & 55 voted for him?

That's as dumb as saying that all the 'tweeners, X'ers and Ys voted for Bush.

8. The "Greatest Generation" and the second boomer cohort
are largely responsible for that. The first cohort had become alienated and apolitical once Nixon was out and the war had ended.

My ex and I were the only old hippies we knew who voted.

7. George sounds like every other old fart in the world
in this one, blaming an entire group of people because a few of them failed to live up to his high expectations and assuming the world will go to hell because of it.

However, with both parties offering us nothing but clueless conservatives for so long, he had a point about not voting, although not much of one. There have been major differences between the two flavors of conservative, differences we should be seeing very clearly now.

Actually, I don't think the Haagen Dasz is nearly as bad as those silly granite countertops the Xers seem to think are owed to them especially since so many of them refuse to cook, but that's just my own old fartiness coming through.

Damn kids. They're sending the world to hell in a stainless steel basket.

9. He also seems to forget that it was largely Boomers who made him rich
Not even the balls-out genius George Carlin is right all the time.

11. Admit he's right about what? That, as he says, "sometimes in comedy you have to generalize"?
OK, I admit that.

I like Carlin a lot. I have a great deal of respect for his overall body of work despite the fact that he did plenty of things over the years just for the money.

12. Technically, I'm a boomer...but just barely
somehow all that good "boomer stuff" just missed me. I came of age in rayguns era. Not much opportunity, not much handed to me.

As for this bit, it sounded more like he was describing repubs than boomers.
