3. The greatest financial crime in the history of the country...
He just called the banking industry and the Fed 'criminals'.

So that means those supporting corrupt and insolvent banks are complicit in the crime.

Maxine Waters said the other day, that the banking industry "has owned this Congress for far too long".

4. Glad to see somebody in Congress remembers Robert Rubin
and how he screwed the entire country and organized this collapse, all on Clinton's watch. Way to go, Bernie, I wish SOMEONE else would mention this on TV, so that we could start to reverse it.

5. my worry too
Don't feel good about Geithner. Wonder who recommended him to Obama and why wasn't he vetted more? He comes from the New York Federal Reserve which is less than a stellar reputation

8. Look at the dollar amounts contributed by Wall Street to Obama's campaign, florida08.
That tells the tale.

Ethics Order Affects Aide to Geithner

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123309702282121649.html

WASHINGTON -- The new chief of staff to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was a top lobbyist for Goldman Sachs Group Inc. until last year, and will have to recuse himself from some government duties under new White House ethics rules.

The appointment of Mark Patterson runs into an executive order President Barack Obama signed to limit the ability of officials to move between industry and government. The order, part of a campaign promise to curb the influence business, allows lobbyists to join the administration as long as they don't work on the subjects they tried to influence for a period of two years.

Do GS's lobbyists and ex-CEO's ever really "quit lobbying"?
