Ok, this isn't a political video but it sort of touch on topics that can apply to politicals and how they can sway an audience/voting block.

Wells says about Johnny Carson that he seems like the 'smartest guy in the World and at the same time the boy next door, so you never resent him for being so smart' ... and when you think about it, this could be said of Obama and what Gore and Kerry were missing.

Also, Wells mentions that great singers like Caruso and Garland would make it seem like it was a little bit hard (when it wasn't) so the audience would appreciate the effort more and I was thinking that was in part Bush's appeal to his base that what many saw as bumbling, his audience saw as "working hard"

Wells also uses the rape in a way that would set off an firestorm today.

4. Orson Welles was an analytical and creative student of human nature on the level of H. G. Wells.
Orson Welles' radio play of H. G. Wells' War of the Worlds proved that. Orson was very clever with his use of suspended disbelief. He actually had people in NY shooting at the sky thinking we were being invaded by Martians. After every commercial break they explained that they were doing a radio play and that was always followed with "We interrupt this program to bring you this news report." So some people believed the radio play was being interrupted with news of a real martian invasion. He almost went to jail over that. Orson Welles is one of the great men of yesteryear.
