1. Factual Summary Needed Here.
The poster or someone with knowledge of the facts of this woman's husband being summarily deported from the U.S. to Pakistan needs to summarize them for readers. I infer that this woman's husband was seized and deported because her father made one call to the U.S. government falsely claiming the husband was a terrorist. The husband was her sole means of support, so she had to move in with her father, who then kicked her out of his house when he learned she was communicating with her husband in Pakistan. She managed to raise the money for airfare for herself and her two children to Pakistan, where she is now living, but wants to return to the U.S., presumably with her husband. It is unclear specifically what kind of help she is seeking, but she is clearly in a difficult circumstance due to the arbitrary actions of the U.S. government.

2. The Bush govt behaved like the Third Reich - what happened to the man is wrong -
On the other hand, why would she take her children to Pakistan, which is a SUPER-DANGEROUS COUNTRY?? Children should be her number one priority right now.

Also, her husband was her sole means of support, but my gosh, practically all my friends are working moms, a great number of them are single working moms.

I don't know how she's going to get her husband back here, honestly. I doubt she ever will, but she needs to get her children back here asap to a safer place than Pakistan. Sheesh. I know Pakistanis that left Pakistan because it's pure danger. I don't understand her reasoning.

4. Fine, but children come before her wants, and his situation
Children come first, always, no matter what. I'm going to ask my Pakistani friends about this, but I have a feeling I know what they're going to say about it, that she's doing wrong by her children.

7. What about the family?
Edited on Sun Feb-08-09 02:12 PM by treestar
Why shouldn't the whole family "come first."

Lots of people live in Pakistan. It's not a death sentence. It's the only place this family can be together.

some would say it comes first for the child that she get to live in a country where her parents can live together?

8. That's fine if there are no dangerous circumstances, but to take her children INTO one of the MOST
dangerous countries on this planet simply because, 1) she's "in luv" and puts *him* before the kids, 2) she's childish and thinks she's sweet 16 and pretending she has no kids, 3) some other really stupid reason.. Frankly, women that do NOT protect their kids above all else, don't deserve to have kids.

I'm sorry but that's my opinion. Plenty of people who put their own whacko desires before those of their kids, and they shouldn't have had kids in the first place if that's where their priorities lie.

9. Judges have taken kids away from parents for endangering their lives -
this woman has done precisely that. She needs to grow up and fast.

11. How to help and where to find more people who care and are helping
Wow....Sarah I pity you...even in my situation. As you must not know the meaning of family. You have a very sad outlook on life and seem to be just an arrogant self righteous well...I will leave the expletive out as I am a civilized person.

Thankfully you and your narrow minded views are in a very small minority.
If all you can do is critisize...without even finding out more about a situation...(I am certain that you have done no more than spew your hate here...as that is so typical of this type of response)then stay out of it. I am not hiding.

For the more intelligent people out there if you care to know more, my husband and I are available at http://youtube.com/mmok2k8 where there are many more videos explaining more as well as

http://operationitch.ning.com/group/helphasanandrose which outlines the actions that are being taken by fellow Americans and HUMAN BEINGS ALL OVER THIS WONDERFUL PLANET.

If you care to do more than just spew hate and defame us, and try to as Sarah so nicely puts it "Children have been taken away" please do check it out. As if our family has not been through enough. You may as well have been part of the Bush admin with all of your hate filled rhetoric.

....and by the way Dear Sarah....I seriously doubt that my country's Government, who has DISOWNED me for marrying a NON White man and having children with him....(check out the US Embassy treatment video) would put forth the money and effort to do anything about that....they do not care about their citizens.
Go make a complaint....Maybe someone will pay attention....LOL

We will be on TruthBrigade radio Thursday Night for an interview....please go to :

http://operationitch.ning.com/group/helphasanandrose
for the schedule if you care to listen or call in.

Thank you to everyone with a Heart out there :) On here I thank "seemslikeadream" and "treestar" for seeing beyond the borders that the narrow minded wish to impose on the rest of us. Thank you very much :)

Rose

10. FACTUAL SUMMARY
Hasan was legally living in the United States from 1980 to 2006. In 2000 he met an American woman named Rose. They married in 2002 and have two beautiful children (ages 7 and 3). Rose's father did not like Hasan, and with use of the Patriot Act and "one key word", Hasan was detained by immigration, tortured by DHS, and deported to Pakistan which was his country of origin.

American family stranded in Pakistan

Islamabad, Pakistan February 7, 2009 Due to false charges made against him by his father-in-law, Hasan (last name withheld for his protection) was arrested January 2006 without due process under the Patriot Act, detained by immigration (ICE), and tortured by a federal agent before being deported back to Pakistan.

Since 1980, Hasan has lived, worked, and studied in the United States. He has two master degrees from Princeton and has bachelor degrees from California and Arkansas specializing in computer science. He met his wife Rose (a natural born citizen of the US) in 2000 and was married two years later. They have two children together (ages 7 and 3), both natural born citizens.

Upon finding out what her father had done to her husband, Rose sold her engagement ring in order to purchase passports and airline tickets to Pakistan for herself and her two young children.

Once Roses father discovered what she had done, he drove Rose and his grandchildren to a homeless shelter in Center City, PA and left them there with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Rose and the children were reunited with Hasan in Pakistan January 2008.

Rose requested assistance from the US Embassy in Islamabad shortly after her arrival. It took several months before she would be seen; however she was told the only way she and her children could be repatriated was to divorce her husband and find three people to vouch for her. Rose is legally disabled due to epilepsy. She is unable to work, drive a vehicle, or care for her children on her own so this was not an option for her.

Gaining confidence and courage after an online personality at YouTube agreed to share their story, Rose created a video of her own telling of her situation. The video posted February 3, 2009. Within days the video managed to garner the attention of thousands of viewers (link below). Video updates as well as the original interview of their story can be found at their YouTube.

To date, several people have been rallying to help this family. US elected officials have been contacted on their behalf. Many require a Freedom of Information Release, which they completed and sent to the Department of Homeland Security over 14 months ago to no avail.

We will continue to do as we are asked, stated Hasan during a telephone conversation I had with him yesterday. We are just happy that there are so many people out there who are wanting to help.
