1. I live in Glendale...
...and would have loved to have been there. How do you find out about these things?

2. The Minutemen here invaded a town hall meeting I went to on Saturday
It was hosted by a state senator and 3 state reps. The 60 Second Men literally barged in halfway through the meeting. One of them had a squawk box or walkie talkie and it was chattering away. People in the back of the room asked him three times to turn it off and he said "NO". Then he got out a tape recorder and a video camera and went around the room sticking them in people's mouths as they asked the reps questions.

The highlight of the meeting was when one of the 60 second men asked why we spent money to educate "illegals" and the state rep said she believed we had an obligation to educate ALL of our children no matter where they are born. The crowd stood up and applauded. I loved it :)

3. Hate to say it, but the Police should have broken this up. I hope that violence did not ensue.
Hello my brothers and sisters,

It is not a good idea to allow to oppositional forces to scream at each other. Right? This could have led to a fight in the streets.

4. Well, I couldn't make heads or tails of that video....
... what a waste of time for everyone there. Nothing accomplished but perhaps a slight local spike in the sale of throat lozenges.

6. I don't know either. I live here and I am a local person of influence in civil rights.
Its the corner of Buena Vista and Riverside Drive. Which is the ass end of Disney the off ramp of the 134 and down the street from the main entrance to ABC.

I wish I could have been there to lend my voice for equal rights and fight racism.

However. They keep getting the address wrong. A few months ago they protested ABC by setting up a picket line at Disney on Alemeda. one street up from ABC on Riverside. I sorta know why they did it because of traffic visibility and such but the target was one block further south. And they pissed off a lot of people who have nothing to do with ABC.

If you're going to protest ABC. Do it in front of ABC. Gee!

If they went to ABC they would have pissed off ... the few animators who still work at Disney who share the entrance. Poor animators. My Dad had charge of their work when he worked at Disney and he treated them and their art with the respect they deserved and thats why they loved and remembered him so fondly. :loveya:
