1. When did KNOWING something HAS failed and WANTING something TO fail become the same thing???????
I'm a native Arizonan that wanted my Cards to win. We all want the better team to win and we always hope that "our team" is it. What is so sad about Rush's analogy is that right now, America, is suppose to be one team. A more appropriate analogy that fits the very toxic dynamic between people like Rush, Hannity, Coulter, and O'reilly and any kind of constructive force in America is this:

"There is a team; ONE team. We'll say the KC Cheifs. And there's this wide receiver on the KC Chiefs. He's really popular with about half of the team, they love the guy, but the OTHER half of the team finds this wide receiver to be a complete piece of shit, they hate him. The team, the KC Chiefs, have a tough season coming up because the roster's kind of shitty and they're still trying to recover their moral from they're absolutely horrific season prior to the one they're about to start. To make matters worse for the wide receiver and the half of the team that loves him is that there's a brand new coach for the Cheifs that they cannot stand; they hate the new coach's philosophy, ideology, and beliefs on how a team should play football whereas the other half sees the new coach's historically tried and true belief system as a breath of fresh air that can take them to the super bowl. Now, if that wide receiver would much rather have a different coach, that's fine, but isn't the only thing that results from a failed coach a failed team?"

GW Bush failing resulted in this country failing. If Obama fails, this country fails. Limbaugh either doesn't believe that to be the case or he's deliberately contributing to more toxic hate and fear induced devision that we're all sick of. Whatever happened to "United We Stand, Divided We Fall"?

4. Yeah....
...if Rush wants America to lose, you have to wonder what team it is that he wants to win.

Let's face it. At this point, conservatives are simply addicted to failure and want the whole country to have as much of it as they have.

Egg-Zakly!

But in Coservo-world, it's all personal. It's OK to call your opponents traitors, but it's OK for you, as a neocon, to actually BE one!

Everyone was behind the Dubya after he allowed 9/11 to happen. Everyone wanted Bush's call for justice to be a success. EVERYONE. But then the GOP nuttiness started. The "smoke 'em out" rhetoric with no actions to follow. The focus and attack on a country that was no threat and had nothing to do with 9/11. This is when Liberals started scratching their heads and asking "What are you doing and why?" THEN, Rummy tried to do it all on the cheap and things immediately fell apart in Iraq....from day one. Pointing out those failures was not hoping Bush failed. Bush HAD ALREADY FAILED when we merely pointed it out.

I know...it requires a memory and a 5th grade level of intellect to grasp this concept, which is why Rush and HIS PARTY don't get it. Rush is the "intellectual force" of the GOP!....good luck with that Bubba.

2. One would only hope that Rush now being the Father of the Republican Party would help the Dems.
But I must admit that I am a cynic. This is the same country that elected Bush twice and approx. 48 % of this country still voted for McCain.

Needless to say, I don't have lots of faith or hope in the American electorate.

13. This is the same country that elected Bush twice
Bush has never been elected.

The Supremes appointed him in 2000 and there are too many anomalies in 2004 for that to be certain. Also, if only 40% of eligible voters voted in 2000 and (maybe a little more) in 2004, that means less than 50% of that 40% voted for Bush. That's less than 20% of eligible voters. The importance of getting as many voters to vote is now chrystal clear. America is NOT overrun by Bushites and Neoconservatives. Maybe too many voters rely on others to do things, but there are not overwhelming numbers of conservative fools in the population....though there are many. Still, not a majority.

48% didn't vote "for" McCain....they either voted for Palin (a minority) or they voted AGAINST Obama. There's a difference. Rush makes their reasoning obvious: WIN!!! Even if it's bad for everyone and everything, do steroids, cheat, anything!!! but WIN.

And after you win....well, who cares....just WIN!

The GOP....no vision, no ideas, just ego-bluster and greed.

11. Repubs...
seem to be either fundamentalist rubes or elites and they think their way of politicking is the on the only way. Now they are up against big city fighters and haven't a clue about what is happening to them. I just love seeing this.

8. Obama is a chess Grand Master and Rash can't even understand the rules of Tic Tac Toe
I'll always remember 1st seeing this reassuring pic when there was a lot of 'concern trolling' going on in various online discussion groups just after McCain had his post-Palin announcement surge....

9. K&R Although it makes me sick to watch bumpyass,
it was worth watching.

I think Rahm reinforced what most of us have already been saying about the thuglican party. And, Cenk explains it so well.

10. Limbaugh tends to personalize everything, too.
In his Super Bowl analogy, he didn't say he hoped the Cardinals failed to come back. He wanted Kurt Warner to embarass himself with a turnover, a sack, or whatever that would cinch the win for Pittsburgh. He doesn't want Obama's POLICIES to fail. He wants OBAMA to fail, thinking that it will benefit the Republicans by proxy.

12. This goes far beyond the concept that the President's policies are wrong.
I believe that it is far more serious in that Rush Limbaugh is sowing hatred and devision that could actually lead to violence. He is going beyond even what he did throughout Clinton's term. I am of the opinion that he is intentionally inciting hatred and that he would welcome the assassination of the President Obama. I believe that he would view himself as an American hero if he could bring this about and then disavow himself of any culpability.

If this took place I believe that massive riots could break out throughout the nation. I will hitch up may walker and gladly join in if this transpires. I listened to the Republican mob and they sound like a lynch mob being incited by a jackal seething with hatred. This goes far beyond differences in political ideology, it is out right hatred. If the Republican what to raise their ugly racist head they will not welcome the consequences.
