D.K. seems to be getting a lot of invitations from Faux these days. It feels very strange to be saying this about Faux but like the way they show him respect and let him speak without interruption.

2. Dennis is brilliant! I wonder if he could order these
companies to be audited.

Let's see the disclosure notes at the bottom, the "going concern" issues, and if there are business failures, then what plans are in place to pay off creditors with assets and then what assets remain will be distributed to partners or stockholder of the company.

It is unprecedented that the government should bail out private industry. I don't know if it is bad, but I know that is there cash debited, so they must credit Accounts Receivables (where our debt lives, so it IS paid off) for the money received.

Did they credit something else besides AR, and if so, what else?

We need to see where the TARP government money landed on the balance sheets and the income statements for everyone that got money to assess what happened. Why wouldn't we take advantage of our intelligence when it is plain as day?

Can't we, or the protective agencies we hired, simply request a copy of the financial stmts from the SEC? These banks, are they public companies? If not, we should not be bailing out folks who do not serve the public and stand to be in a profit category. On profits, perhaps. Take overs, perhaps. But not welfare.

3. It is brilliant. Transparency should be the main theme
It is the right public policy, and it is also the right politics. Let's see the Republicans vote "no" on any transparency issue. Put them in that box and keep them there.

And not just corporate transparency. We need that same accountability with the Fed.

4. Chrysler
Chrysler is a tiny little piece of the bailout, but in their case, that is privately held. It was bought from Daimler by leveraged buyout vultures who thought they could flip it for a nice profit in 12 months. They bet wrong. It is really outrageous for the taxpayers to be giving billions of dollars to these assholes.
