excellent speech on the West Wing, where Bruno Gianelli calls out the right wing and how they've changed the word "liberal."

I was a faithful watcher every Wed, and so were a lot of others! I remember going to meetups for Howard Dean and everyone saying, hey, we have to adjourn now, bacause we have to get home in time to watch West Wing!

Can we get it BACK NOW?

Boston Legal and Law and Order help to fill the gap a little bit, but OHHHH how I miss the real show!

"I'm tired of working for candidates who make me think I should be embarassed to believe what I believe, Sam. I'm tired of getting them elected.

"We all need some therapy. Because someone came along and said liberal means soft on crime, soft on drugs, soft on Communism, soft on defense, and we're gonna tax you back to the stone age, because people shouldn't hafta go to work if they don't want to.

"And instead of saying, well, excuse me, you right-wing, reactionary, xenophobic, homophobic, anti-education, anti-choice, pro-gun, Leave It To Beaver trip back to the 50's, we cowered in the corner and said please. Don't. Hurt. Me.

"No more."


It's just really hard to hear those words coming out of the mouth of Ron Silver. That reactionary, xenophobic....
