and speaking as a college professor and graduate of the UNC system, I can do nothing but confirm your assessment.

As if we didn't already get enough "shitty university" rhetoric chucked at us, now it's national headlines.

However, I don't believe this is the fault of President Crow. I believe we have some sort of board that votes on things like honorary degrees. Crow actually was pretty good as mobilizing support when the AZ legislature attempted to slash our budget by 40%.

I would say, if you can get out, do it. I don't know how old you are, but it was family ties and illness that kept me in NC.

I'm in the honors college, Barrett, which is suppose to be the best public honors college in the country and I also have scholarships.

But if tuition sky rockets like people have been predicting I might just leave anyway.
