Does Glenn Beck talk so fast, he uses up all the oxygen in the room? One has to wonder, given yesterday's startling moment when a guest passed out during the live Fox News show. It was Columbia University teacher David Buckner, who was talking to Beck about the causes of bankruptcy:

Normally this wouldn't merit a chuckle, but... that's exactly what Beck did after a few commercial breaks. Laughing a bit, he noted that no one on his staff immediately rushed over to Buckner because "it's a madhouse here, and... everybody just thought it was part of the show."
Beck said Buckner was "doing fine" and had apologized to Beck, who then said, "Are you kidding me? The ratings will go through the roof!"

4. I've come close to passing out before
after cross country races. And you usually know ahead of time that you are about to go down. You just get really freakin light headed and everything starts moving around you. You usually don't black out until you are on the ground for a few seconds.

6. it happened to me only once and maybe that's why i didn't know
as you say i started to feel light headed, dizzy etc. but i didn't know i would pass out. and i actually blacked out before i hit the ground as i don't remember ever actually falling down. i just remember feeling dizzy and reaching out to walk back to my room and the next thing i remember was when i became conscious. i was on the ground but the first moments when i became conscious again i actually thought i was just in my bed and had a regular night of sleep. it actually felt like i had slept for a long time rather than i had just passed out a few moments ago.

i guess you recognize it if it happens regularly. but that was the first and only time it happened to me. i think it was because of some drugs i took after some minor surgery and not having had any food for a long time.

5. I've always known ahead of time
Used to happen to me a lot.

He must be less used to it, though, because he knew he was passing out but didn't sit down. Normally if you know you're going to pass out, it makes sense to sit your butt on the ground and lean forward with head between your legs, so you don't hurt yourself in the fall.

8. I've fainted a couple of times. I knew ahead of time that it was coming,
and was able to sit or lie down. I've never actually fallen when fainting.
