Half of the Republican/conservative "agenda" these days is simply about placing themselves in the contrarian position from liberals. It doesn't matter what it is. I mean, there is no reason to be ANTI-environment. You may think that Greenpeace or the Sierra Club or whoever overstates the case when it comes to the environment in order to make themselves look important, and that's fine. You're wrong, but at least I can see your point. But if you take joy in doing damage to the planet just for the sake of upsetting liberals, then you really need to reevaluate.

You know, it's funny - Glen Beck thinks he's getting one up on the left by outraging us with this sort of nonsense, but I have to ask - who on the left cares one iota if Glen Beck is unhappy with anything WE do? He is obviously is in bed with big money and government. Laying waste to the environment is a huge sign of a ultra- capitalist mind set. Whe you cut down trees you not only affect habitas, but ecosystems as well. How anyone can be on board with cutting down trees and then stating they'll be replanted is fooling themselves. Trees are not being replanted at any near the rate they're being consumed.
