Incredibly dark movie with all the neurosis of the 70's on display, fitted out in the styles of the day.

Great cast, great snapshot of people in various states of reality, phobias and repressions.

I think Ang Lee is a genius to be able to capture such a difficult subject on film.

It's a good addition to the historical treatment of the Swine Flu back then, where the Government basically blew it, and gave the pharmaceuticals blanket immunity for any damages caused by the immunization.

Knowing what I know now, immunizations are NOT mandatory. They bully and coerce people into accepting them from their own free will, and you have the right to decided whether or not you will allow yourself to have one.

I would rather take my chances on surviving it, like the other handful of major illnesses I have endured and prevailed. I just don't have faith in the corporate machine any more. Nor do I have faith in modern medicine, which still allows millions of mass neurotics to roam the streets and infect others like a plague.
