1. The question about the Blue Dogs becoming the new right was interesting

I thought that questioner raised a good point: why assume that the republicans will make it back when they seem to represent fewer and fewer people? Couldn't a coalition of Blue Dog Democrats become the new right?

Probably not, but it's an interesting scenario nonetheless.

2. That was one of my fantasy scenarios
The Blue Dogs become the new right....thus the whole country moves to the left...leaving the 19% conservatives a fringe group.
