The Executive Director of NORML Allen St. Pierre discusses Legalization of Marijuana Debate on CNN - 13 states have already decriminalized it. Kevin Sabet, former White House Drug Policy Adviser talks about alcohol and tobacco as reasons to not legalize pot.

What are the issues of decriminalizing vs. making it legal?
Could 1.3 billion dollars a year be raised on a pot tax?
56% of Californians support legalizing it on some level and 52% of Americans support legalization.

1. Intersting that Bush held onto Clintons Drug serf
And boy can one see why. Clintons drug policy continued the drug war unabated, while many storys were floated about drug smuggling into Arkansas during his tenure as Governeor there.

The Anti Drug wiener on this video is a sickening piece of refuse. He goes on to lament about the cost in health care regarding our two legal drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Like he gives a damn. All he cares about is talking up the business he used to be paid for.

How about giving us some real numbers about lost work for people high on Hemp? Oh yeah, it a prohibited narcotic, no funding for research on that I bet. Even if their was, 3.4 of the money would be spent of High Security requirements mandated by the DEA.

The Drug war is just the first version of the Global War of Terror. You can never win, so it lasts forever, draining money year after year.

They let that guy have the stage for almost the whole interview, while only giving Mr. St. Pierre only one opportunity to respond, in a nearly 8 min interview, no less. Would have been nice to hear BOTH sides of the story there CNN.

5. Duh.
He's the Governor of *California.* He tried acting like a hard-line conservative when he was first elected, and we soundly spanked him. His response was to hire a flock of Democratic advisors, so he wouldn't get thrown out of office like the one before him.

He'll be term-limited out next year, but there are whispers that he'll run for Senate. Lord help us.

when they tick the smart box. Legalizing drugs is the solution to so many of the world problms it isn't even funny take out the hands of the gang warlords, ou the hands of terrorism. Depopulate the prisons transfer the revenue from imprisonment to rehabilitation. Let's actually win the drug war by making it legal.
