1. She's a real bitch for daddy.
Did she get the classified briefings? Did daddy tell her the secrets?

4. what kind of stupid language is that?
"finds it fashionable" -- talk about text-book passive aggressive schoolmarmery.

One of the most irritating things about Republicans, and particularly conservative republicans is their love of the clever phrase even if it has nothing to do with the point.

AS IF we gave a half a loose wet shit. Does this stupid woman REALLY think Obama woke up last Tuesday and said, hey, my wardrobe suck, and I MUST get me some terrorist accessories?

No, she's lamely attempting to push buttons that don't even exist. Newsflash Liz: if there were terrorists everywhere your daddy and his slack jawed inbred yokel pal georgie woulda found one or two even as incompetent as they were when they actually HAD power.

Take this to heart Liz: you're a never-has-been and a never-will-be so STFU already.

6. And of course admitting these photos "hurt America"
Edited on Wed May-13-09 10:33 AM by AlbertCat
... is admitting the practices and policies of Daddy's administration hurt America. These aren't photos from Obama's administration. These aren't photos of Obama policy.

I agree. So do a majority.

Bless her pea pickin' heart. May it hold up better than daddy's.

11. Her arguments are full of holes
1) It's not what Obama is doing, it is what Cheney and Bush did that harms American soldiers. Some of those who were tortured were completely innocent and have been released and told their stories. The world beyond our shores has heard and believed those stories. Cheney did the harm, not Obama.

2) Torture is not a matter of policy. It is a matter of criminal violations of law.

3) Torture is not just a matter of the violation of American law (which can be easily amended and broadly interpreted). It is a matter of the violation of international treaties that were signed by a number of nations. And the language of those treaties is very, very clear.

4) Necessity, that is the argument that we had to torture to respond to an emergency, is not persuasive here. It cannot be argued that waterboarding someone many, many times -- 83 or even 183 times in a month, is a response to torture. It simply is not.
