North Korea tests a nuclear device in an underground detonation, it's first since 2006 during the Bush administration. Reports of at least one missile firing also noted. South Korea convened an emergency security session, and an Emergency UN Security Council meeting is to be requested by Japan on Monday.

That belonging to the nuclear club carries with it the very real threat of total annihilation. No nation would think of using a nuke against another if that nation did not have a nuclear capability. Now the stakes are much higher. They have placed themselves in the cross hairs of just about every nuclear capable nation on the planet. I am sure they will find that is not the best position to be in.
