4. This was very recent
as I saw another clip from this interview yesterday. Yes, he does look different. He's starting to wear down and is looking less and less confident (arrogant) every day.

The guy has been everywhere lately, so its hard to keep track anymore. It's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. The guy used to be so above it all and now he's groveling, something I could only imagine in my dreams.

'those kinds of financial enterprises????' Last time I checked, GM was a car-making business, not a bank or a hedge fund or a stock exchange, not a 'financial enterprise' at all.

GMAC is the financing branch of GM. Of course, that's not what Cheney was talking about, but GM does have a bit of a hand in the financial business.

GMAC was/is up to their ears in 'creative financing' of mortgages.
Think di-Tech, owned by GMAC and advertising hundreds of times a day across
the country as a lender "who has a deal for you"!

They would 'bait and switch' you to sub-prime financing in a heartbeat.

and he's just making shit up now to make it look like they knew, and now rewriting history to offer a plausible explanation for why they did nothing.

I'd give 95+% odds that the real truth is "We didn't see it coming at all".


I'd like to see some financial reports from the guys in the Bush administration to see who started going short back in September while they "didn't want to burden the new administration with a bunch of half-started projects" or whatever the fuck the lie was that Cheney said in the above.
