Ever since Karl Rove made his unholy Republican alliance with the Religious Right, Christianity has been suffering from a severe decline. It doesn't help when you have people like Pat Robertson and the late Jerry Falwell who made their careers by selling a hateful version of religion that abandoned all of the principles which Jesus taught. Mike Papantonio discusses these and other reasons that have contributed to the decline of American Christianity.

2. My thoughts exactly!

Somewhere in my collection of "stuff" (thanks, George Carlin!) I have an old pin from the 80's that says just that! One of the local radio stations in LA was giving them out right after Reagan was annointed.:toast:

It's supposed to be a place of peace after all when that goes you have to look at that church a little closer. A more private and humble approach to christianity is probalby the wiser route to go. Why even risk a persons life for prayer caught in cross fire. The way to really be christian is do good deeds and probably give thanks, but all their making demands to God is wild interpretation of what should be. Good fortune is an end result of doing more good for more people.
