..I know (read it years ago) that his dad/parents were NOT nice and that they were abusive. Michael had to be so tortured inside. I think one way he tried to fix that was by changing the outside. And he didn't need to do that. He was SO beautiful without one whit of surgery.

All his life, he had no basis on which to gauge what "normal" is or what reality is. What of his spirit or soul wasn't damaged by his parents and family - was destroyed by our culture - one that tortures misfits to death - no matter what the reasons behind their freakishness.

I just hope that he's finally at peace, that his kids are OK and can have some type of a decent life, and I am sad for his family - particularly his brothers and sisters.

I'm betting, "on".

he was very bizarre yes - but he also raised more money in one year (organizing we are the world) for famine relief than any one person on DU will ever have, and he did tons of charitable work after that, regardless of what his unproven personal issues were.
