I got to be up on the stage with Howard Dean, and then I followed a contingency to their Representative's office. Many Senators and Representatives were visited that day, and we all voiced our support for a public option! Keep the heat on! Contact your Senator or Representative!

3. No problem...
....thanks...probably YouTube messing up. They do that from time to time.

For those of you who cannot make it to DC, go to your Representative's District Office located in your state. Just show up, and tell them you demand health care reform with a public option. Go to the website below, locate your State, find your Representative, and either request an appointment, or just show up. Their aides can write down and deliver your concerns and/or petition:

http://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW.shtml

Sign up with Democracy For America to deliver petitions locally, giving us a "one-two punch", both on "the Hill" and locally:

http://www.democracyforamerica.com/activities/159

The fight is not over until we have real health care reform with a public option, and everyone is covered!

4. The Washington Post said...
The Washington Post said, "hundreds of people". It was thousands. I would say 7,000.

5. One site of the activists said close to 10,000
I think I saved the site...will see if I can find it.

When there were close to a million on the March for Women's Rights....they also said hundreds.

I remember C-Span went out that day for a couple of hours. C-Span never goes out like that.

6. We really need to turn up the heat....
We really need to turn up the heat. Congress is still not even considering a public option, and they want to cut health care to the poor and elderly to finance things.

Contact your Senators!!!

8. Public Option WILL pass in the House. The trouble is the "conservative" Dems in the SENATE. They
are the ones we need to be pressuring BIGTIME ! Target THEM ! Obama and the House Dems WANT a public option. Have you been making calls? I have. Call them. The ones to call are mainly:

Ken Conrad, Joe Lieberman, Bill Nelson, Ben Nelson, Evan Bayh, Max Baucus, Byron Dorgan, Kirsten Gillibrand, Blanche Lincoln, Mark Udall, Tom Udall, Mark Pryor, Arlen Specter, and Mary Landrieu.

(Are there any others that shoud be on the list, or taken off?)

9. The only way to make it happen is with BIGTIME organization and HUGE pressure from US !! CALL THE
SENATE AND TARGET THE "conservative" Dem Senators. Also, join Healthcare for America Now and GET INVOLVED. Things don't just happen. You have to make them happen !! Also, pressure your local and state Dems and Dem party at all levels to in turn pressure the "conservative" Dems in the Senate to support public option.

Anyways, these people and Dr. Dean are correct. We the people are the ones who choose. We choose to give everyone medical treatment reguardless of income. Thanks.
