3. Mr 18% thinks that the U.S. public, let alone Iraqis
give a flying fuck about his opinion? True, there apparently are enough dumb asses who were swayed by his recent torture arguments, but everyone wants out of Iraq. Why are we going to change course because of the doofus who got us into that mess in the first place?!

:wtf:

5. Shameless.
Using the sacrifice of our soldiers to attempt to push the continuation of the very thing that took them, even though every reason for continuing this occupation has been debunked, is the act of a man who cares about no one but himself. To put it kindly.

Not to mention we have been asked to leave.

Apparently he had priorities other than attending logic classes.

6. Cenk says something interesting,
Cheney/Bush should be happy because they can say they are finally being liberated." (paraphrase)

I think there will be a talking point in 8 to 12 years where if Iraq ends up stable and a democracy, people will try and give Bush/Cheney credit.

But here is the thing, the way they did it cost way to many lives, cost massive money that really was moving it to private companies, and did not respect the simplest of values of people.

When Iraq reaches stability it will be because of the sacrifice of US soldiers and the hard work of the Iraq people, not the messed up plans and actions of the Bush administration.

The analogy I think of is a guy goes to put a mail box up on the side of the street, he tears up the fence, tears up many neighbors houses, puts potholes in the road, removes many hedges and trees, spills paint all over the road, causes many car crashes, and swears and acts like a lowlife causing loss of respect for everyone in his house.

Then a few years later he comments on how great he thinks he was because he put a mail box up.

7. Cenk has spoken at length on that point actually.
On how ethnic cleansing and the militia deals had 90% of the impact as opposed to 'The Surge' being the big game changer, etc. And yes, obviously the bottom line is we never should have gone in in the first palce.

9. Every American life lost there has been an awful waste.
That war was never in Americans' interest, though it did serve CheEeney's and others' financial interests.

12. God, I wish Cheney would drop dead
It must be some ritual performed at Bohemian Grove keeping him alive. The Big Pagan Owl demands a virgin sacrifice each day for, Satan, so CHENEY LIVES. The freak is evil, personified.

13. I believe Cnek nailed it, but it was more than just Iraqi oil funneling money
to oil corporations, it was also a means to suck the American Peoples' tax dollars in to funding Cheney's crony military industrial corpse, ie: Halliburton, Blackwater; or whatever they're call now and the like.

This thread explains what I'm talking about, the war with Iraq allowed this to happen on a massive scale. Cheney/Bush were working both sides; Iraqi oil and the American Peoples' tax dollars to enrich them selves and their corporate masters.

"Remember the $400 hammer? How 'bout that $600 toilet seat?" asks a Conservatives for Patients' Rights TV commercial criticizing President Barack Obama's health-care plan. "Seems when Congress gets involved, things just cost more."

As it happens, I do remember the incident of the $436 hammer, the one that made headlines back in 1984. And while it may "seem" in hazy retrospect as though it showed how "things just cost more" once those silly liberals in Congress get started, what the hammer episode actually illustrated was a very different sort of ripoff. The institution that paid so very much for that hammer was President Ronald Reagan's Pentagon. A private-sector contractor was the party that was pleased to take the Pentagon's money. And it was a liberal Democrat in the House of Representatives, also known as "Congress," who publicized the pricey hardware to the skies."
