3. Yes, class.
He shows enormous respect for the process and he seems to be very honored to be in his new position. I think he's great.

4. Obviously a sober, serious, and earnest guy.
Glad he touched on the interests of ordinary Americans. Kaufman (D - Delaware) was really good, too, speaking at length of the importance of justices allowing Congress to regulate business. This is a legitimate concern due to Sotomayor's rather pro-business record.

13. Yes & about time!
We all know who the damn "activist judges" are...and there are so many now, thanks to Dubya (as a whole, not talking just Supreme).

Al was great, thoughtful, and respectful (even to that horrid Jefferson Beauregard Sessions XII or whatever)...and I was very happy he said he agreed with Whitehouse and Feingold (good people to hang with!).

Senator Franken made it clear that people define judicial activism differently. The current supreme court sucks, imho. This nominee can only be an improvement.

Loved the talk about open access to the internet he gets it, he's as with us as he was back in Air America days. This guy could potentially be another Bernies Sanders be afraid Freepers a social demoray come to a town near you. If there is ever an opening for Majority leader assuming retirement he's the man it seems clear as day to me.
