NOTE: Before you read the summary, check out this . He bashes TYT, "socialized medicine", President Obama and more. And he defends Bush and corporations.

Summary: Cenk plays a clip of (R) Senator Chuck Grassley's ideas on healthcare compromise and then rips them to shreds. For example, he makes the concise point that co-ops are useless because they don't offer nearly enough bargaining power. He also explains how a watered down plan (The R's have submitted over 160 amendments to the bill) will fail and the Republicans will still blame the Democrats anyway.

Also, Check Out These 5 Clips You May Have Missed:

1. My opinon is that it would be idiotic to compromise on health care.
This has been going on longer than I've been alive. And I'm 50! No compromise. If the dems don't pull their shit together and get this done the people in this country should put together a third party and get rid of all rethugs and dems.

2. This seems so obvious that one can cynically believe that
the Dems want this bill to fail too.

6. Once again they earn their nickname, The Party Of No.
They have nothing to offer in the way of any real reform. Their only job is to prevent that reform from happening, no matter the cost. No matter how many uninsured die from lack of health care.

I agree with Cenk. Why we play ball with these obstructionists is beyond me, but if we are going to we should at least utilize the home court advantage we have. Yea, I hate sports metaphors as well. It works, so fuck it. heh

The whole notion that the Dems need bipartisan support is crap anyway. Even without a number of the bluedogs voting they should be able to get 51 votes. That's how medicare was passed years ago and the Repubs did it more recently. The fact is that the Dem leadership in congress doesn't want healthcare legislation to pass anymore than the repubs.
