6. If You Visited DU During The 8 Years Of BushCo You Would Have Seen Similar.....
post from some DUers.

I posted the following in another post here today - but I think this warrants posting again.

The feared and fearful have changed places since Jan '09. I know I feared BushCo and all they stood for. I was worried for this country.

My fear and the fear of many like-minded people subsided as I stood in Grant Park in Nov '08 and heard that Barack Obama would soon be in charge.

Unfortunately - as our fear subsided and we became less fearful - the opposite was happening on the other side.

Those that felt comfort under BushCo immediately became fearful at the thought of either a Dem or a black man in the White House.

Fear has flipped in this country - and this is most confounding for me - as I can see very clearly how things have changed and have gotten better - and don't understand the fear in the minds of those that don't. This is really confounding. I would like somebody to explain this to me.

Talk about a 'bizzaro' world.

Seems to me if we just talked to each other and listened - maybe we can come to some happy medium where we can all get along.

9. n/t. every person, white, black, right or left, SHOULD fear a police state.
the only difference is, who is in charge.

but Bushco gave us very serious cause to be very afraid.
he openly declared he would not obey the posse comitatus law, for example.

during BushCo it became abundantly apparent that rule of law
no longer applied, and that democratic institutions were being
dismantled and a police state was being constructed.
populus/dissident control. camps. retraining. that was literally next.
believe it. only a miracle saved us.

that is where the fear comes from on the left.
and that is also where the fear comes from on the right, because that's
what they had in mind for us. believe it.

10. I too feared for my country under Bush, but
I didn't worry about internment camps or feel like I had to carry a gun everywhere I went. I didn't craft my life around baseless paranoia. People like the guy in this video really seem to live in perpetual fear that they'll become political prisoners, will be be mugged every time they step outside, will have their guns forcibly removed, or that black helicopters are on the way.

16. Yes but Bush was the one who started it
And after seeing them lie us into a war, anything could have happened. We had more reason to believe it could happen. 9/11 to me is another reason we had to worry about Bush. Obama has never said "Your either with us or against us"

14. What Do You Mean By YouTube Link and......
you will see the embed code in the right column. Is this link on DU and where? or do you mean actually going to the YouTube site?

I always wanted to know how to put a video on DU and this would certainly help me. Thanks.

18. The ads, if they even exist, may be just a prank
Back in the early 70's, this same meme was rife about Nixon's detention camps. I investigated the reputed site of one in El Reno OK, at the former site of a WWII POW camp. All I found was a small graveyard of Axis prisoners who had died in detention and an agricultural test station, nothing more.
