Seriously these new border agreements are pretty intrusive to both sides of the border, the gun ships they have in the great lakes are death machines.

8. I see Canadian pols are as dumb as ours
There is nothing new in terms of patrol equipment. More activity maybe, higher profile certainly. And like most pols, they know nothing about weapons.

The Coast Guard boats have been armed since rum running was a big thing. The RPM rate is bogus and the pol said 2X that.

The bigger deal is the over the border authority for both sides and the increased cooperation and communications. Armed fortress hyperbole aside, that is a much bigger deal than anything else I saw, it just doesn't make a good sound bite

Make our northern US border look a little like South Korea? Yikes... that's going to be hell for couples wanting to go to Niagara Falls..(Canadian side is the best side for that kind of vacation.) I think perhaps the Rainbow Bridge just grew a shade of Gun metal grey.
