As much as don't usually agree with Fineman he has it exactly right here. His comment that President Obama is 'trying to negotiate with somebody that doesn't want to negotiate' couldn't be more true. The President, his people and the Democratic leadership need to realize that the only thing the Republicans want out of this process is a resounding defeat for Obama that will cripple the rest of his term(s) in office. At this point the conservatives could give a damn about health care one way or the other this is pure power politics. When and if the Democrats accept this they should realize the only thing to do is craft a bill that is exactly what they want and is the right thing to do and then use every constitutional and parliamentary tool available to them to pass it. Hey now the nuclear option sounds good doesn't it.

It should at least finally serve to help the millions of indoctrinated realize the grotesque FARCE your two party system is.
