1. I think we all knew this anyway, as soon as Kucinich and Edwards dropped out,
the whole presidential race became just a beauty contest rather than an agent of actual change.

I don't mind if you disagree with it - as I said in the OP, I don't necessarily agree with everything he says. Informed disagreement is perfectly valid. But if you haven't watched it, that's not valid disagreement.

13. I respect John Pilger. But he never won an election in the USA (or any place else).
If he were a US citizen, John Pilger would be comfortable voting for Ralph Nader again and again.

The sad truth is that Obama was too radical for 48% of Americans. That's why they voted McCain.

If the Democrats had picked a left-of-center candidate like Kucinich, McCain would have won the election.

Not saying I like it. But to believe otherwise is wishful thinking.

edit: Above is too pessimistic. I do not mean to imply we should just accept our broken system. We need to change it, with cleaned up election systems, proportional representation and runoff (they don't need to be instant) elections.

The long version is significantly longer - about 15 minutes or so - and he goes into detail on previous Presidents and covers a lot of modern American history, specifically with regards to imperial interventions around the world.
