Since we have seen the fanatics explode at one town hall after another, each politician seems to be reacting to the emotion in the room. I can see why they react that way, because they want their voters to know they are listening to them. But they would really be much better off if they stopped trying to appease these lunatics and tell them the simple truth....just the way Barney did!

I would like to see some comparison on The Iraq War vs Health Care. Somebody should bring up the cost....the loss of civil liberties....what we got in return..... and then compare these people who blindly supported all of that to how they feel now about improving health care.

Barney also said about the Iraq war, "Who do you think paid for that, Santa Claus?"

I thought he was going to go ballistic in the back of the room.

That's all I'm asking. Because I'm tired of Pelosi (and Reid for that matter) not doing anything to counter the lies coming from these RW nutjobs!

spoiled, nasty, uninformed children and he is treating them as such. That is how it should be. I remember when I was young and in school and a particularly obnoxious child would need to be put in his or her place (never as badly as these people, I will add) but having an adult speak to them clearly and concisely, and sometimes quite sternly. It was what it took to get the point across to them and I remember being impressed by their mistake and learning quickly to approach matters in a more respectful and adult like manner.

These people should feel all kinds of shame for their behavior. I mean, how embarrassing would it be to have to be spoken to like a child? I don't know that they do feel any shame, but it would take a special kind of stupid not to.

That young woman asking him the (lamely) loaded questions about Nazis....I keep wondering: What does she know about the Nazis? Has she just seen them in films? It's not like when I was young and there were all kinds of WWII films all the time. She thinks Nazi are like "Valkurie"? Has she ever seen a documentary on WWII? Or did she just hear what Rush said and see what Glenn Beck showed.

I don't KNOW.... she could have a PhD in History with Germany 1939-1945 her period for all I know.... but I doubt that. (I wonder if she knows the years WWII took place....or the years the National Socialist Party began and ended? (1919-1945, BTW. I looked it up. I thought it started in 1933. But at least I know to go check and make a correction when I'm flat out wrong.))

Each passing week, these "opponents" are showing themselves for what they truly are. McCain/Palin, sore loser obstructionists who can't stand the FACT that their guy LOST. They will stop at nothing to derail every advancement this administration attempts to make. Even if it means cutting off their nose to spite their face.

If this administration tried to pass a bill to fund a device that would save the human race from annihilation, they would oppose it.
